PSA Media Contest

High school students working on a computer.

Each year, high school students from Chesterfield and Colonial Heights take part in the SAFE PSA Media Contest, crafting powerful, educational videos that raise awareness about the dangers of opioids, fentanyl, and counterfeit pills. Participants are challenged to produce an original 25-second public service announcement using current, accurate information to highlight these critical issues. All entries are reviewed by the Community Substance Use Alliance, which selects the top three submissions from each locality. The winning PSAs—first, second, and third place—are showcased on local cable networks and promoted across SAFE’s social media platforms throughout the spring.
