Latino Coalition

  • The SAFE Latino Coalition is committed to reducing impaired driving and preventing substance abuse through culturally relevant education and outreach. Our focus is to raise awareness within Latino communities about U.S. laws concerning alcohol use and driving under the influence (DUI), ensuring individuals and families understand the legal, personal, and financial consequences of impaired driving.

We provide bilingual resources, workshops, and community events that explain DUI laws, legal limits, penalties, and safe alternatives to driving under the influence. By bridging cultural and language gaps, we help empower our community to make safe, lawful choices and prevent tragedies on the road.

Together, we’re building a safer, healthier future — one informed decision at a time.

  • We educate and empower the Latino community to make informed, lawful, and healthy choices—especially when it comes to alcohol use and driving.

    Our work includes:

    • Culturally Responsive Education: We offer bilingual workshops, presentations, and informational sessions about U.S. laws related to alcohol consumption, DUI offenses, legal consequences, and how these laws impact immigration, employment, and family life.

    • Community Outreach: We engage directly with community members through health fairs, schools, churches, and local events, making sure vital information reaches those who need it most.

    • Partnerships: We collaborate with local law enforcement, schools, health organizations, and faith groups to amplify our message and expand our impact.

    • Resource Distribution: We distribute printed and digital materials—brochures, videos, and social media content—that explain DUI laws and promote safe behaviors in a clear and culturally respectful way.

Through these efforts, we aim to reduce DUI incidents, save lives, and create a stronger, more informed Latino community.
