Building a Healthier Future
Since 1999, we’ve been serving Chesterfield County, Virginia—a suburban and rural area just south of Richmond with over 387,000 residents. We utilize awareness and education, community partnerships, youth leadership, and advocacy to address substance abuse issues. Our coalition works to create community-level change in behaviors and attitudes related to substance abuse.
We design our initiatives based on community issues identified through multiple sources, including bi-annual Prevention Needs Assessment surveys of youth (view part reports here), input from parents, statistical data such as juvenile alcohol and drug-related arrests, and feedback from the broader community.
