Bandfest
An event created by and for teens
SAFE's Bandfest is designed for Chesterfield teens to create a fun, alcohol and drug-free event for their peers through music, art and videos that demonstrate a movement toward choosing healthy social activities. It features local teen bands, who audition to perform at the event, along with video and t-shirt design competitions.
Bandfest 2010, Dare 2 BU will be held Saturday March 20, 2010 from 6 - 10 p.m. at Southside Nazarene Church, 6851 Courthouse Road. The event is sponsored by SAFE, presented by the Chesterfield County Department of Youth Planning and Development, and hosted by Southside Nazarene Church and the X-Zone.
Bands that have been selected to play are:
- Randomiz3d
- Men of Liesure
- Look to the Sky
- Voicemail at Midnight
- Battleghost
- Capital 7
Special appearance: Richmond's own Spiritual Harmonizers from America's Got Talent!
Concessions will be sold, along with band merchandise from the featured teen bands. In addition to the bands, the event includes inflatable games, a photo booth, caricature artists, a variety of electronic games and more.

Tickets to the event will be sold at the door. Cost is $5. Attendees are requested to bring a canned good for the Central Virginia Foodbank or a pair of gently used shoes for the needy..
